Story

The “King of Beasts” Among Inflatables — The Ultimate Craftsmanship Behind Joker Xue’s Stage Dream

1.jpg

When the music of Joker Xue’s “King of Beasts” concert resounded beneath the dome, the lion at center stage roared skyward, the giant eagle spread its wings as if about to take flight, the elephant curled its trunk and stamped the ground, and the giant whale leaped into the air — these four lifelike giant inflatable sculptures broke the physical boundaries of the stage, turning the concept of “myriad beasts” into a tangible visual spectacle. The team behind this miracle is precisely our professional team, deeply dedicated to the manufacturing of giant realistic inflatable sculptures.

1. Millimeter-Level Restoration: Exquisite Craftsmanship on a Massive Scale

Artistic imagination requires uncompromising craftsmanship to carry it. Faced with four “giant” models — the lion (H 5.82m × L 14.92m × W 11m), the elephant (H 8.21m × L 15.66m × W 9.65m), the eagle (H 10.9m × wingspan 7.7m × L 12.2m), and the whale (H 7.7m × L 14.1m × W 10.5m) — we did not rely on the conventional printed inflatables many people imagine. Instead, we adopted deeply customized three-dimensional sculpting techniques. From 3D modeling to structural calculations, we conquered the muscle definition and fur, feather, and skin textures on the surfaces of these giant beasts, ensuring that even when viewed from dozens of meters away, audiences can still feel the majesty and vitality of the beasts.

2. Tackling the “Impossible”: Solving Extreme Challenges on the Installation Site

Moving gigantic objects over ten meters tall into a structurally complex, space-constrained, and densely crowded stadium seating area was our greatest trial. Through precise advance planning and anticipation, we resolved three core crises:

4.jpg

Challenge 1: Extremely large span and difficult-to-stabilize center of gravity.

The eagle in particular, with a height of 10.9 meters and a 7.7-meter open wingspan, presented a huge wind-facing surface; while the whale’s irregular dorsal fin and curved body made it highly prone to center-of-gravity shifts after inflation.

5.jpg

Solution: We pioneered a multi-chamber separation and built-in reinforced tension structure, which not only ensured a rigid silhouette but also formed a stable internal skeleton. For anchoring, we did not rely on the venue’s original fragile structures. Instead, we built our own multi-point counterweight system weighing several tons, combined with dozens of high-strength load-bearing steel cables and tension adjusters, firmly locking down every potential deformation.

Challenge 2: Tight construction schedules intertwined with a complex site.

The venue setup window was extremely short, and the passageways and staircases in the stadium simply could not accommodate the transport of a single finished piece.

7.jpg

Solution: We adopted modular segmented production and seamless on-site splicing technology. Core airtight modules were completed in the factory. After arriving on site, they were assembled within a few hours using specialized heat-sealing equipment and pressure instruments, and precisely pressure-controlled with professional high-power blowers to ensure the inflation expansion coefficient remained within the safety threshold. Ultimately, the “impossible” was compressed into the demanding schedule.

Challenge 3: The conflict between high crowd density and high safety requirements.

With tens of thousands of spectators below, any swaying of the inflatables caused by turbulent airflow in the venue could have led to unimaginable consequences.

9.jpg

Solution: We installed a constant-pressure sensing system inside the “beasts.” Once air pressure fluctuates, the system automatically adjusts. At the same time, we set up invisible anti-collision buffer isolation zones around the stage and assigned dedicated safety inspectors to conduct uninterrupted patrols, ensuring that every inch of the inflated “skin” could operate with zero risk under high pressure.

3. More Than Manufacturing Inflatables: Presenting a Stunning Viewing Space

From the lines on blueprints to astonishingly massive venue landmarks, the successful installation of these four giant realistic inflatable sculptures is a faithful practice of our team’s philosophy that “products are artworks.” Through our core engineering and manufacturing capabilities, we helped the artist realize the seemingly unreachable dream of a “myriad beasts” world.

This is not only a highlight of Joker Xue’s stage, but also a highlight moment for our inflatable brand. Committed to making every inflation a breathtaking ascent, we are always on the road.
