Centered on a Classic IP, Brought to Life Through Masterful Craftsmanship
Shanghai Disneyland 10th Anniversary “Fairy Tale Train” Mickey Inflatable Project

Wenzhou 360 Inflatable partnered with Disney to bring the magic of Mickey Mouse to life for Shanghai Disneyland’s 10th Anniversary Celebration.
The 10th Anniversary Celebration of Shanghai Disney Resort was a landmark event celebrating a decade of joyful memories and emotional connections with guests.
To create a spectacular themed installation that embodied Disney’s iconic sense of wonder while delivering a powerful visual impact, Shanghai Disney Resort partnered with us to develop a highly customized centerpiece — the Fairy Tale Train Mickey Inflatable.
As an official IP collaboration project with Shanghai Disney Resort, the product was developed and manufactured in strict accordance with Disney’s global brand management standards.
The IP rights for this project belong to Shanghai Disney Resort. The collaboration involved access to a portfolio of globally recognized intellectual properties, including Mickey Mouse, Disney Princesses, Marvel, Pixar, and other iconic franchises. The project was also carried out under Disney’s globally standardized International Labor Standards (ILS) audit system and Facility and Merchandise Authorization (FAMA) production authorization system.
Leveraging our expertise in manufacturing large-scale IP-themed inflatable installations, we successfully passed the Disney ILS audit and obtained FAMA production authorization, becoming the designated manufacturing partner for the Mickey Train project.
From design development and material selection to fabrication, craftsmanship, and quality control, we provided an integrated manufacturing solution for this world-class IP project.

How Can a Giant IP Inflatable Achieve Both “Fairy-Tale-Level Accuracy” and “Engineering-Level Safety”?
The Fairy Tale Train Mickey Inflatable was far more than a conventional commercial inflatable display.
It was a comprehensive creative and engineering project that needed to simultaneously meet demanding requirements for IP accuracy, large-scale structural stability, safety, and long-term outdoor display performance.
The final dimensions reached:
22.6 m × 11.25 m × 19.73 m
At such a massive scale, the project placed extremely high demands on manufacturing techniques, material selection, structural design, and safety management.
At the beginning of the project, the client faced several key challenges.
01. How Can an Oversized Inflatable Structure Remain Stable, Full, and Well-Defined?
Large inflatable structures can easily suffer from sagging, deformation, or loss of shape.
This challenge becomes even more significant when creating a train body with rounded contours and large curved surfaces. Without the right materials and internal structural design, it would be difficult to achieve the refined visual quality expected of a Disney IP installation.
To address this challenge, we adopted a combination of specialized materials and structural solutions:
- High-performance PU fabric was used across most of the train body, except for the black areas.
- Nearly 1,000 precisely engineered fabric panels were developed to achieve accurate assembly of complex curved surfaces.
- Professional sewing techniques were combined with airtight construction methods to ensure that the enormous train body remained full, rounded, stable, and visually well-defined.
The result was a Fairy Tale Train that was not only visually impressive in scale, but also maintained the refined proportions and artistic quality required for a premium Disney IP installation.

2. How Can the Gold Decorative Elements Maintain Their Appearance Outdoors?
The golden decorative elements of the Mickey Fairy Tale Train are among its most distinctive visual features.
Conventional printing methods and standard fabrics would have difficulty reproducing the metallic appearance required for the project while also withstanding prolonged outdoor exposure, including:
- Direct sunlight
- Rain and moisture
- Surface friction
- Long-term outdoor display
To solve this challenge, we adopted a specialized combination of:
Metallic Foil Fabric + Heat-Lamination Technology
This process enhanced the dimensional and metallic appearance of the gold elements while also improving:
- Water resistance
- Abrasion resistance
- Color stability
Under sunlight, the golden details create a striking shimmering effect, reinforcing the dreamy and magical visual language of the Disney theme.

Reproducing Mickey Mouse with Millimeter-Level Precision
As one of Disney’s most iconic characters, Mickey Mouse requires an exceptionally high level of accuracy in visual reproduction.
To ensure the character was faithfully represented, we applied different manufacturing solutions to different areas of the design.
Mickey’s Black Features: High-Precision Detail Reproduction
Mickey’s nose, eyes, ears, and other black areas needed to meet strict requirements for:
- Visual accuracy
- Color consistency
- Outdoor durability
For these areas, we used:
600D High-Density Oxford Fabric + High-Resolution Flat Printing
High-resolution printing was used to reproduce the fine details of Mickey’s facial features. This was then combined with precision sewing and shaping techniques to ensure accurate proportions and preserve the recognizable characteristics of the classic Mickey Mouse design.
Mickey’s Body: Precise Reproduction of a Three-Dimensional Form
Mickey’s rounded, chubby body proportions are an essential part of his iconic character design.
For the body structure, we adopted:
PU Fabric Sewing and Panel-Assembly Technology
Through three-dimensional panel design, individual fabric sections were precisely shaped and assembled to follow the character’s contours.
This allowed us to create fuller, smoother, and more natural body curves while maintaining the recognizable proportions of the original character.
The final result was a three-dimensional Mickey Mouse that captured the visual charm and playful character of the original Disney design, creating an instantly recognizable fairy-tale atmosphere for visitors.

Solving the Challenge of Uniform Internal Lighting in Large Inflatable Structures
For large-scale IP inflatables, lighting performance at night can have a major impact on the overall visual experience.
Traditional internal structures can easily result in:
- Overly bright areas around individual light sources
- Noticeable shadows
- Uneven light distribution
- Reduced visual quality
To address this issue, we developed a mesh-fabric internal baffle structure.
Compared with conventional materials, mesh fabric helps diffuse and distribute internal light more evenly, creating a softer and more consistent illumination effect.
This solution not only improved the nighttime presentation, but also reduced dark areas caused by the internal structural components.
As a result, the entire Fairy Tale Train maintains a dreamlike, luminous, and visually balanced appearance even after dark.

The Expertise Behind Nearly 1,000 Fabric Panels
The production of this large-scale project involved:
- Nearly 1,000 precisely engineered fabric panels
- Multiple material combinations across different sections
- Integrated manufacturing processes
- Large-scale structural control
- High-precision IP reproduction
Every panel position, seam line, connection point, and finishing detail required careful calculation, repeated verification, and precise execution.
The inflatable structure also incorporated:
- A high-power external blower system
- Specialized internal inflation and structural design
- A high-strength material combination
This solution provided stable operation while also simplifying on-site installation and maintenance.
