Changsha IFS MOJO IN BLOOM Series inflatable

As the first warm rays of spring sunshine glanced off the glass façade of Changsha IFS (International Finance Square), a cluster of giant, gorgeously blooming inflatable floral installations, standing several meters tall, rose quietly from the very heart of the city. This was the MOJO IN BLOOM series, co-created by us, 360 Inflatables, and Changsha IFS. Modern lines collided with exuberant vitality, and in an instant, the cool commercial space was "inflated" into a dazzling, light-drenched hanging garden.

“MOJO” speaks of magic and good fortune. When our team received this creative brief, we resolved from the start to break the boundaries of traditional seasonal décor: no longer just a backdrop, the inflatables themselves would become the protagonists, radiating the energy of spring. From the “giant swaying petals” to the “magic sprouts breaking through the soil,” every form drew upon the organic curves of the natural world, yet was endowed with a fashion-forward, highly saturated color palette — the unmistakable hues of Changsha, a city that never sleeps: fiery, unabashed, and dazzling beyond reason.

To reproduce this soft yet tenacious vitality in a premier landmark like IFS demanded absolute precision. An inflatable is no cold, rigid sculpture; it breathes. For the materials, we chose eco-friendly fabrics with a subtle pearlescent sheen, so that under the lights, the petals quiver gently with the airflow and reflect a delicate luster, as if a flower bud has just awakened in the morning dew. And yet, hidden within this soft fabric is a meticulously engineered framework of skeletal air chambers and an intelligent constant-pressure system. It allows the installations to maintain a perfect fullness in the bustling atrium — never bloated, never deflated — presenting a vigor that is just right.

The installation took place late at night, after the mall had closed. As the final petal module slowly inflated in mid-air, unfurling and joining together, the entire grey-toned atrium seemed to be under a spell — spring burst through the walls. The visual contrast and sheer impact were so breathtaking that even those of us working the graveyard shift couldn't help but pause and look up in awe.

If the Milk Dragon at Eastern Suburb Memory was our ode to a childlike heart, then the MOJO IN BLOOM at Changsha IFS is a love letter from 360 Inflatables to the city itself.
