Story

Cute Marine Characters Light Up Kaohsiung Music Center

1. Origin: A Coastal Date Between Two Heartwarming IPs

Waves along Kaohsiung Harbor tell two heartwarming cute tales.

Bugcat Capoo, a beloved LINE sticker IP, features the chubby blue shark Shasimi with an endlessly gentle heart hidden under its plump figure. Mikan Station Master, a local Kaohsiung fan favorite, wears an orange striped sailor uniform and guards the harbor light rail, spreading warmth across the waterfront.

One IP radiates coastal soft cuteness, the other is rooted in Kaohsiung’s local daily charm. When these two national cute icons meet, the grand urban carnival Marine Party · Kaohsiung Character Alliance comes to life. Our team took charge of creating this giant installation, using inflatable models to bring the 15-meter-tall oversized mascots to the seaside stage of Kaohsiung Music Center. The soothing cuteness leaps off digital screens to embrace the entire harbor in three dimensions.

2. Craftsmanship: Turning Cartoon Cuteness into City Landmarks at 15 Meters High

Standing as tall as a 5-story building, the 15-meter installation is both a bold visual statement and a dual test for our team—perfect IP restoration and outdoor engineering safety.

To flawlessly replicate Shasimi’s round, soft silhouette and every vivid detail of Mikan Station Master’s orange fur and sailor cap, our design team dissected IP art frame by frame and refined thousands of curved 3D models, capturing every blush mark, eye shape and uniform stitch with pinpoint precision.

Given Kaohsiung’s windy coastal climate and the complex rooftop waterfront venue of the music center’s geometric buildings, we custom-engineered thick, tear-resistant airtight fabrics and built layered internal load-bearing support frames. We completed repeated real-world testing for wind resistance, waterproofing and anti-overturn stability, balancing long-term outdoor durability with the soft, rounded aesthetic of the characters.

From 3D modeling, segmented cutting and heat-sealed airtight seams to on-site hoisting and securing, every production step centers on two core principles: preserving the soul of each IP and safeguarding the city’s landscape. Characters once confined to phone screens are transformed into giant photo landmarks perched atop the Music Center’s roof.

When the plump blue shark rests atop the waterfront venue and Mikan Station Master leans out from the light rail carriage, the rigid architecture is instantly wrapped in gentle charm. The soft cuteness drifts across the harbor with the sea breeze, filling True Love Pier with joy.

3. Cultural Bonding: Giant Inflatable Art as a Vessel of Joy

Kaohsiung Music Center is Southern Taiwan’s hub for pop music and a coastal artistic window where mountains and sea converge. These giant cute inflatables act as an emotional bridge connecting young crowds, family visitors and tourists.

Mikan Station Master embodies Kaohsiung’s local warmth, traveling the light rail and watching over the harbor; Chubby Shark Capoo delivers cross-regional comfort, boasting massive nationwide online popularity. Our pair of 15-meter supersized inflatables are far more than static exhibition props—they are dynamic emotional symbols for the city.

Passengers riding the light rail, visitors cruising the harbor, and music fans coming for shows spot the giant mascots from afar, rushing to take photos and share their joy online. By daylight, the orange Mikan and blue shark contrast beautifully against blue sky and ocean; after dark, warm lighting outlines their soft forms, crafting a one-of-a-kind romantic night view along the waterfront.

We firmly believe inflatable art is more than commercial decorative displays—it is a tangible medium of comfort. We magnify cuteness through monumental scale and deliver flawless quality, bringing IPs out of screens and embedding them in local urban culture. The installations inject youthful, vibrant appeal into city tourism, comforting every guest who steps foot in Kaohsiung Harbor.

4. Our Original Aspiration: Sailing Cute Charms to Every City on Inflatable Vessels

With years of experience crafting large-scale IP inflatable installations, we uphold two core missions:

  1. Ultimate IP Faithfulness: We capture every iconic detail of each character, delivering the same heartfelt delight fans feel when they first see the original illustrations.
  2. Prioritized Outdoor Safety: We tailor engineering solutions for complex venues including coastal areas, high rooftops and waterfront sites, balancing beauty, durability and structural stability for all city cultural tourism and commercial exhibitions.
  3. The 15-meter giant Shark & Mikan Station Master inflatable installation at Kaohsiung Music Center marks a perfect collaboration between a local Kaohsiung IP and a nationwide beloved character. It is another milestone for our brand, using monumental cute inflatable art to revitalize urban spaces. Moving forward, we will continue to create inflatable artworks that carry heartwarming IPs and creative concepts to cities across the country, letting oversized cuteness heal every urban waterfront.
